The Wedding of Maeve & Oakley

Have you ever attended a dog wedding? A real one, where two dogs officially tie the knot? Well… we have, and honestly, we hope it’s not our last.

Puppyhood sweethearts Maeve & Oakley made things official on 31st March 2026 at the beautiful Alfriston Gardens in East Sussex. The entire celebration was brought to life by Maeve’s owner, influencer Hannah Brown, alongside Jade from The Social Socket Content, who somehow managed to pull together this unforgettable event in just one week with the help of an incredible team of local suppliers.

A Dreamy Sussex Ceremony

The venue was transformed into a dreamy pastel setting by To Have and To Hire Events, featuring a dusky pink draped ceremony arch, soft white florals, and delicate styling details throughout the space. Balloon installations by Bow and Balloon added the perfect playful touch to the romantic atmosphere.

Maeve looked every bit the beautiful bride, dressed in white as she wagged her tail down the aisle to Puppy Love, performed live by Vanessa Sergeant. Waiting patiently at the end of the aisle was Oakley, looking incredibly suave in his bow tie, ready to bark his vows to his puppyhood sweetheart.

The Cutest Wedding Party Ever

The ceremony itself was hosted by celebrant Emma the Celebrant, while professional photographer Jo Sweeney captured every moment, from the vows to the official family portraits featuring the couple and their six adorable puppies.

And yes… there were puppies.

Maeve and Oakley recently welcomed six gorgeous pups, Mabel, Margot, Nelly, Benji, Albert, and Teddy, who naturally played a huge role in the day as bridesmaids and groomsmen. Accompanied by Country Canine Weddings, the puppies were wheeled down the aisle in a beautifully decorated cart, complete with floral corsages by Beau-K Florist attached to each tiny collar. One of the cutest things we’ve ever witnessed.

Capturing the Celebration

Following the ceremony, over sixty guests gathered to celebrate with an afternoon full of entertainment, laughter, and plenty of photo opportunities. Our ICON Booth was a huge hit throughout the day, capturing everything from elegant portraits to chaotic puppy moments and creating keepsakes guests could take home instantly.

The celebrations continued with a wonderfully creative cake-cutting moment featuring a dog friendly cake made from biscuits and piped mashed potato by Cakes by Ashleigh, surrounded by beautifully made human biscuits from FlocBakes, (Oakley stole a few of the wrong biscuits). A bouncy castle from Cloud 9 Playtime kept younger guests entertained, while Perfect Castings created a special paw-casting keepsake for Maeve & Oakley to treasure forever.

Celebrating for a Meaningful Cause

As magical as the day was, it was also all for an incredibly meaningful cause. The event helped raise funds for Dogs Trust, making the celebration feel even more special. The big day was a national hit, it attracted the BBC and This Morning, where both owners and the newly weds were interviewed.

If this is the beginning of dog weddings becoming a trend, we are completely here for it.
